Yeah it won't improve but atleast this will allow more people to see the film.

As much as it makes sense to review something that has already been reviewed negatively. I have zero expectations, it's just an extended version after all, but I'll watch it!

I'm one episode away from the end of the series. Even if I don't understand the point of such an operation, I wasn't at all sorry to see it, it was a trip down memory lane, at the time Australia was one of the films I most awaited, and despite everything I saw it at the cinema four times. The series doesn't add that much, a few longer scenes, some extra backstory, but it doesn't add any extra depth to the characters. The music, however, is different and I prefer it to that of the film, as well as the editing, the colors, much fresher and less burdened. The story ultimately makes sense in the series format, but it wasn't essential. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think it will lead to a re-evaluation of the film or make it known to new generations. Another note, Nicole's performance here is better, more caricatural scenes have been exchanged for more sober takes (just look at the scene of her arrival where Drover destroys the suitcases), it is still one of my less favorite performances in Nicole's career.

The slo-mo unraveling of her lingerie suitcase hahaha that scene is unnecessarily etched in my memory 😂

I've watched episode 1 and im enjoying the slower pace and the emphasis on the aboriginals as a back drop is bringing so much value. Kidmam is so funny, i forgot how funny she was in this and she's serving with Catherine Martins costumes.
I've come to accept the kitschy campy nature of the narrative as part of its charm, it feels appropriate.
Production is top notch, I hope the show catches on.

They did an awful job re-editing this, but it was good to see the unseen footage of Nicole in that era.

ScreenRant has been busy publishing about ten articles per day about this series (ok I exaggerate but still), that leaves me quite confused since I don't think that many people care about this project but maybe I'm wrong
