Completely unplanned but over the last 1 week, I watched Scrapper, Murder at the End of the World and Iron Claw. Harry Dickinson is a force to be reckoned with. Phenomenal! Go see Beach Rats. I remember it was an immediate A-star-is-born reaction to this movie. Interesting you say that. I remember watching it 5ish years ago and I generally liked the movie but didn't feel his performance to be that extraordinary. I thought it was a great debut. There was an onslaught of coming of age movies around that time. Waves. Booksmart. HoneyBoy. Boy Erased. Somehow I wasn't taken by Beach Rats. May be it warrants a rewatch.

The Film Stage : "Our 100 Most-Anticipated Films of 2024" : "86. Babygirl (Halina Reijn) It feels like we’ve been anticipating the return of the Hollywood erotic thriller for years now––instead, all we’ve got is endless social media discourse about the few sex scenes still intact in movies. Halina Reijn’s Bodies Bodies Bodies follow-up is 2024’s best hope to finally usher in a new age of the delightfully schlocky genre, with Nicole Kidman and Harrison Dickinson as the boss and employee whose affair threatens the company they work for. It’s a loaded premise, but has potential to marry genre thrills with a thoughtful probe of workplace sexism to more powerful effect than last year’s almost-great Fair Play. – Alistair R." thefilmstage.com/our-100-most-anticipated-films-of-2024-part-one/

NY is really going to bring the atmosphere to this film. I'm already feeling it.

Little White Lies : "100 films to look forward to in 2024" lwlies.com/articles/2024-preview-part-one/"28. Babygirl (Halina Reijn) Nicole Kidman plays a high-flying businesswoman who begins an affair with her intern (played by Harris Dickinson) in the next project from Bodies Bodies Bodies director Halina Reijn. Her debut feature, Instinct, was an erotic thriller, so she’s got form here, and if the prospect of Kidman/Dickinson getting up close and personal wasn’t tantalising enough, consider the fact Jude Law is on board too. Make movies sexy again! HS"
