A reminder that she's also a producer. And the viability and longevity of her production company is dependent on $$$ coming from the deep pockets of these streaming giants. She can't risk being seen on the picket lines holding a placard. She will lose her partnership with Amazon or HBO etc. It's not unique to her. Same with Reese Witherspoon etc yes, I thought exactly the same thing, same with a lot of big names out there, but I don't know, feels wrong, this time things seems different, with all this AI discussion, the residuals, a real shocking discranpacy between realities.

I'm kind of mixed on this, she attracts so much attention and if she joins the protests the media will spin it to rich actress wanting more money, when the truth is rich actors are a minority. The media has not been very supportive and its from both right and left wing media. But it is odd that she has remained completely silent. yes, I mean she showed some support, briefly, in some red carpet interview promoting Lioness, but that was that. Let's see what happens in next weeks, this strike seems to be very long. It'll probably last till end of summer, I expect a deal ready by September.

Correct me if I'm wrong but her profile/CV on the SXSW Sydney official website makes no mention of 'Scarpetta' or 'Things I Know To Be True' but it does mention 'The Perfect Nanny' as being in pre-production : sxswsydney.com/speaker/nicole-kidman/

HBO pushes things faster than others, and Amazon needs to see Expats' steaming number first. so after 9PS-S2, our guess in the last summer was like.. Nanny, TIKtbT, Scarpetta. and 9PS-S2 is filming-ready before the strike (originally, late Aug. - the end of the year), not surprisingly if Nanny moves to pre-production stage.

So with the lengthy NPS shoot in Europe it's safe to assume that she's obviously not doing Kathryn Bigelow's 'Aurora' (starts early next year) nor is she doing Karim Aïnouz's 'Rosebushpruning' (shoots next spring).

I shouldn't be shocked but having Nicole's shows/films for 2024 and 2025 listed together, I'm kinda (very pleasantly) surprised of how many things to look forward to!
I know they are not all "prestige" but I wish that all become hits. I am also hopeful that some could give Nicole Emmys and Oscars recognitions again.
