I actually wonder why they don't do a sequel to this. It had a reputation as a critical flop and box office underperformer on release. But it's still being talked about 20 years later as a film that has acquired cult status. I'm pretty amazed that there are so many media write-up about the lasting appeal of what you'd assume was some lightweight witch comedy that didn't really make much impact on release
Nicole and Sandra are still A-listers. They both still look good. I bet if they came together (Reese and Nicole style) and pitched a sequel to a studio (using the films cult popularity to argue that It"d perform better at the box office today) then I could actually see it happening. Nicole and Sandra carry a lot of clout combined.
Maybe Nicole was trying to hint at pitching a sequel with the anniversary facebook post. All these media write-ups make it a more attractive prospect. Food for thought

agreed, that would be so cool to have them revisit their characters only older, perhaps make good on their pact,
"its just going to be the two of us in a house filled with cats, I bet we even die on the same day!"

^ The video idea you mentioned definitely sounds like a better and more marketable idea. I hate remake culture so I really hope they don't try and capitalize on it. The original film is itself also based on a book.... Hollywood needs more originality! I'm glad people like Practical Magic for what it is, but we should let it be.

Just wanted to say how surprised I was with the social media reactions to Kidman and Bullock meeting.
This just affirms that practical magic from a critically panned and derided film back in 1998 has evolved and lasted over 20 years to become a beloved cult classic.
Here is some lovely artwork I came across on Twitter which would make for an amazing 20th anniversary special edition blu ray.

Kidman posted this recently and it's ended up as one of her most liked pictures on instagram. With the majority of comments begging for a Practical Magic sequel / reunion with Sandra Bullock. https://www.instagram.com/p/BmPgGZ0l_KZ Practical Magic I think has only grown it's cult status by the year. Also it's going to be that time of the year again, which means Im going to revist practical magic!!!

Just watched PM last night - I kept thinking how much Celeste looks like Gillian! I wonder if they modelled her look from PM when coming up with a look for BLL? Also, it's so obvious Nicole's amazing range as an actress watching it <3
