Was looking forward to seeing Michelle Pfeiffer on stage presenting. Shame she had to pull out. Right! She was supposed to appear. What happened? Deadline said was due to personal family reasons.

I'm shocked Emma Stone won, but I had an inkling. I personally didn't like lily's performance, Stone was deserving but two Oscars at 36!! come on! Well atleast some comfort from this is Cate Blanchett has some real competition now. I want Nicoles second one before her 60s Agree! Let's tell her that, but my fear is that she is way to busy making shows for tv!

Let's all invoke that! She deserves a 2nd one right before she stars her new decade....

I would really like to see kidman's name on this list, We need that lighting in a bottle moment she almost did it 2 years ago, remember? if KS and GAGA backed critics were not too busy to destroy BtR at reviews, and Searchlight's campaign power didn't grow into a new Harvy Weinstein. right, they picked Jessica Chastain who intentionally and disgustingly broke the strike policy to show up in Venice Festival 1 year later, congrats to SAG.

Yes, but I never really felt like she was going to win for BTR the hate wave was just too strong and she didn't get a Bafta.
We need something powerful that will sweep with that lighting in a bottle moment that is true to her essence as an actress. Problem is the academy dont nominate her for those films.

Idk, that year was strange, Chastain was not nominated for Bafta as well, Nicole had a shot, I guess. Chastain did a great job with SAG members, began screening her film very early, that SAG paved her to Oscars, it was a weak year. She won some critics prizes, I guess, but very few; Nic won the GG, that was a shock! But in the end Chastain got it but her win is very hated, always cited as one of worst wins ever in recent years; at least in the film twitter lol

She should have won for BTR. Based on performance, but the film wasn't as good as her act.. the usual. I want her to win for the right film. Personally wouldn't be overly excited if she won for BTR. Let's hope she starts picking the right projects. I believe she should move out of Nashville obviously her taste level is dramatically low. Go to Europe and spend few years there please. At least NYC.
