I saw the film a few weeks ago, it was a really great rewatch, I really like her in this, apart from the wigs lol the rest is very good, her as younger Bell is awesome, she looks amazing, incredible. It's curious that Desytroyer was the last film that she worked with a female director, second after The Beguiled and her commitment to work with female directors every 18 months. After this she kept her promise, but in the TV field, I was hoping for some work in the film fiend with female directors, and this year we'll have that, twice, and leading roles!!!!. Exciting!

Destroyer was for me her last great starring role in film. I rewatched recently as well, and still teared up at the end, a powerful performance. Definitely worthy of an Oscar nom (more worthy than she was for Being The Ricardos, which I have no real desire to rewatch). I hope that Babygirl and/or Holland, Michigan give us a performance of this level!

Destroyer represents the courageous performances that have always characterized Nicole, and that brought me closer to her. Being the Ricardos, is an academic and textbook work, for me she is perfect in her task. But yes, better than a hundred roles like Destroyer, I think Babygirl will satisfy us.

I've got the destroyer blu ray to cherish, its a top 10 kidman performance for sure. And I'm very thankful she did this role.
I would really love to watch it in cinemas again. I remember it came out for 1 week where I live and I rushed to see it in the cinemas and it disappeared a couple of days after i saw it.
I'm not going to compare it to BTR as they're completely different roles and types of performances.

I loved this movie and Nicole's gritty performance. Still feel bummed that she did not get an Oscar nomination for this one.

everything was perfect, except the storyline which is a bit weak to me. even the character is rich.

On my top 3. It was Nicole's last project that ticked all the boxes. Her performance moved me in a such a way I wasn't prepared for. One of her movies that had the biggest impact on me.

Can't agree with you more. I was crying when the film ended in the cinema, and the film has held up with each repeat viewing. For me, her performance here is every bit an equal to Birth. Would love some day for her performance in this movie to be talked about the way Birth is now.
