Warner bros confirms In some form, means it could no longer be a theatrical film? Edit actual source interview from deadline.com didn't frame it that way so nevermind, whatever the case film doesn't seem to be happening soon Maybe that could be a reason for the delay? Are they deciding if its gonna be theatrical? Straight to streaming? Or a series? The hesitation for theatrical i guess is because the original film was not a commercial (and critical) success to begin with, though it soon became a cult classic. Will that be enough to drive people into cinemas and make it a blockbuster hit? I remember BLL was supposed to be a movie before they decided to turn it into a limited series which proves to be successful. Maybe that could work for PM2. I dont mind seeing Nic and Sandy for 8 episodes so long as the material is excellent. |

This project to me always felt like straight to streaming, can't see this being a hit in theaters, don't know why, maybe I'm totally wrong.

Looks like they're only greenlighting 10p% hits and not taking any risks.

That's the kind of a movie you watch curled up with your favorite blanket, a box of chocolate on a dark autumn evening, on your couch.
It is NOT a cinematic event. I hate to say it but it's probably better off on Max.

Considering the terrible films in cinemas I think this could be a hit with the right marketing. Sandra's box office record is impressive, they just need to hire a couple of young famous girls to attract the younger crowd. Us and older will be there at the cinema. I want to see Nicole on the big screen in a decent commercial film. Not aquashit.. and where is the film announcement?! I'm over terrible TV shows. Nicole please!

Yes i think we're ready for a good commercial theatrical release, bringing back her golden age period of 2001-2008. Where it wasn't a rarity as it is today to watch a Kidman film in theaters. As we saw with Babygirl there is potential there. Who will step up to the plate and offer her? |

She's an actress that bends and morphs into whatever the medium she's doing demands. |

Keanu Reeves will be on Broadway from September to January so I doubt his movie with Sandra is filming this year, theoretically PM2 could go first

I think also, the second book wasn't as well received as the first and Gillian( Kidman's character) isn't as well featured, they're probably rewriting alot of the plot to include Kidman's character.
I could be mistaken though.
