^YES! Rabbit Hole is not only one of my all-time favourite films (tied with Birth, Moulin Rouge! and The Hours), but is without a doubt my favourite of the decade. I need her in this type of film again!

Yep... We need her in a small indie film, where she is leading and it's a complex character... Please

Wanna feel old? This movie turns 10 years in less than two weeks.
I love this movie so so much! It was so special to me and gave our Nic her 3rd Oscar nod. I remember that Award season with joy. Seeing her making it in all the best actress line ups and getting nods here and there.

And yes that year we were all so desperate for her to land the nomination, in fact I couldn't believe her name popped up because rabbit hole barely got nominated for anything.

We all didn't expect her to get nominated expecting a last minute snub and Rabbit Hole didn't have a big campaign kidman was doing most of the heavy lifting and then the film flopped and its returns were really poor even for small indies. It all felt like it was slipping away, especially when the film didn't make a big splash awards wise just the sole nic noms, so everything was still not 100% till we saw her name.

Rabbit Hole, along with Moulin Rouge!, Birth & The Hours are my favourite films ever. Rabbit Hole and The Hours destroy me emotionally - I'm a bawling mess every time I watch them; Birth is cinema at its finest; and Moulin Rouge! is just so damn entertaining! I hope to get a Nicole-starrer this decade that I can add as my fifth tied-first favourite film ever.
Destroyer comes close, and I LOVE How To Talk To Girls At Parties, Stoker, Paddington, Lion and The Killing Of A Sacred Deer, but her roles in all of those are just too small!
I'm hoping Things I Know To Be True will be the next one..!
EDIT: I forgot TIKTBT will be a TV series - damnit...!

Do you remember when a random distributor company was added to its IMDB page a few weeks before its TIFF debut and we all started panicking because we knew its chances were already dead? I have to say that I had always felt quite confident with this project from the very beginning. I trusted JCM 100% and all those pictures of her on location rocking her new strawberry blonde hair could only mean good things. She also dropped of that Woody Allen film to shoot this movie.

I look back and still find it so heartwarming how this tiny project got her that 3rd nomination. Against many odds. youtu.be/BYvUm1YJBSs
