I don't know. I just hope Kidman will get it made but not star in it. The reviews are too bad.

I think this can work as a film, I'm going to give the book a try, I didn't like Moriarty's well received books, maybe this one is for me?

what a wonderful world. and Mia Wasikowska, please. I think the protagonist Frances Welty is ~50 years old. I won't be surprised if someone like Portia de Rossi or Toni Collette or Yvonne Strahovski etc (all Australian) end up getting the role.

Rachel Griffiths would be a great choice, actually.
I just finished reading the book. I really enjoyed it. It's not as good as Big Little Lies for me, but not too far behind. And definitely better than The Last Anniversary and Truly, Madly, Guilty. The characters are all really well developed and interesting. Masha is very unique and it will be a lot of fun seeing Nicole in this role. I think it could work as a film, I'll be interested to learn whether it will become a film or a series.

I finally finished the book as well. It started off really well and the characters were delightful to get to know initially. It touches on a lot of subjects including pressure of being a mom, being uncomfortable in your body, depression and suicide, modern day dating etc. I thought Masha was a fascinating character. Part cult leader part tyrant, I think if done with a bit of humor, it could be a killer character. I somehow lost interest and the second half became somewhat of a tedious read. Would be interesting to see if an adaptation would ever come to fruition.

Shouldn't Nicole and Bruna just merge at this point?

Shouldn't Nicole and Bruna just merge at this point? no its best they maintain their independence, Bruna should be free to follow who and what she want to work with and so should Nicole, exclusivity sometimes stifles creativity.

I don't like what she's trapped inside a serials.
It's a setback.

I don't like what she's trapped inside a serials. It's a setback. It's an infinitely better business than movies, she's right about branching out and striking it while it's hot. She's finally a businesswoman, not just a muse wandering from one auteur to another. And yeah, she can (and will) be both.

Having read the book, I can say this would have made a terrible only-Hallmark-worthy cheesy movie. I wasn't too enthralled with the book to be very honest. But hey, David E Kelley is a genius and can churn out a fantastic script. With shows like The Handmaid's Tale, Shrill, Ramy, I think Hulu can produce really high quality shows. It doesn't have the wide reach that Netflix has of course. Also, Amazon didn't nab it despite a first look deal with Kidman? Don't know what to make of that.

I heard the book is a bore, my partner hated it, I usually trust his opinion so didn't bother reading it. I was hoping for a film confirmation, I think she is got too many tv projects going on. I hope she ends up producing.
