I really hope she does. Whole-heartedly enthusiastic about this, guys. The Farewell was one of my favorite movies this year. So tenderly, sweetly and beautifully done. me too. but I really want them to do it in other country. I love Hong Kong people, they're so brave, and Time's cover of the year didn't pick them is such a shame!! though, I'm really worry about if the commies do something evil in the city while they're filming the show. so as a fan, I admit that I'm selfish. pls, change the location. like you guys said, Singapore, or author's hometown Seoul, maybe Taipei, Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, they're all beautiful.

I just couldn't picture which character Nicole would play from the book? There was none that really matched Nicole's age/look at all?

I think there must be lots of adaptation works, that's why she brings Wang to help two writers. and the other day, "maybe she'll do it with Kerry Washington?" this voice suddenly came across my mind. so if the author is OK with, maybe Wang can diversify it more? like.. an African Muslim character?

I hope Nicole sticks to producing exclusively, let her give the role to other actresses who are more suitable.

I cannot believe she would spend a long period of time in Hong Kong to film this. I know she's done it before (QotD) but her children are older so I am sure they might not enjoy the idea.

I'm no political specialist but I am a keen follower of global politics. I dont think Itll go that far, there will be international condemnation if china chooses to go that extreme. I think things will settle once the US fta agreement is finalized. The Hong king government will probably meet some demands of the protestors and change the executive who let's be honest is being held hostage waiting to be expended. She will probably be thrown under the bus and take all the blame.

I hope Nicole sticks to producing exclusively, let her give the role to other actresses who are more suitable. It hasn't been said anywhere except on AwardsWorthy (previously AwardsWatch), but one of the members there is friends with Barry Jenkins and Lulu and he said he has known about Lulu choosing to direct this for weeks and that Nicole is definitely starring in it as well, and that it will film in HK. He didn't say not to say anything, but I guess it's still on the down-low as it's not been reported yet. But he's a very trustworthy source.

So her schedule for next year is pretty much mapped out already.
