Still not sure she's also starring in The Expatriates besides obviously producing it. Neither article or Nicole herself haven't confirmed that. Can't imagine her going to Hong-Kong for 5-6 months (based on BLL period of shooting because it's also ensemble) of shooting. Also, have You noticed The Expatriates are described as "series" and not as "limited series"? In that matter I am even more not convinced about Nicole starring in it. I'll wait for the eventual confirmation. Don't wanna get too excited because I also love Lulu Wang and The Farewell.

I have read somewhere that Kidman is attached to it as an actress as well. Only time will tell.

wait Kidman said "FILM" I thought this was a series. I wonder if she referred to it as 'it' and they inferred it as [film].

Kidman confirms at SAG working with Lulu Wang ... She doesn't say the details though. Producing, directing, film or TV show. youtu.be/NkUKM-htN40

Interesting how this production will be affected by coronavirus. I've just started reading. Hong-Kong is like a fourth character. Still no clear confirmarion if Nicole is actually starring in it besides producing.

And I really, really do not see Kidman suitable for any of the 3 leads. And I may have said it before - this book was such a dump. It took me a year. A YEAR. To read through it. Spiritless and bland and uninspiring.

Lulu I think is only beginning to adapt the script so any delays will only benefit her and the script.

Love her. She was so articulate in that Hollywood Reporter Roundtable. The way one male director was trying to mansplain everything she was saying got me fuming.

Neither article confirmed starring in besides producing. I am not sold on that also. I mean... ongoing series? Not sure why though. I don't think it's enough of material in it. Shoot in Asia? It's not like BLL with changing scenery from Australia to California is not that problematic. Hong Kong is crucial to the story in The Expatriates. Also, I do can't really picture Nicole as any of the characters but that's a minor problem. I am almost sure she will be only a producer here.
