Wiz posted this in the other thread thought it'd create it's own thread.
Big yes from me, it's lovely to see Kidman in more commercial fare with bigger roles. her role in Aquaman just was begging for her to revisit the commercial route more often.

I'd love to see Nicole act opposite Emma Stone.
I thought she'd get a part in one of those live-action Disney films, just thought it would be the Evil Queen one in "Snow White".
But this sounds more exciting. And Craig Gillespie is an interesting choice.

Please don't work with Emma Stone, I don't care how juicy it is, her fans are trash talking Nic every where. only because no matter how high La La Land's MTC score is, people love Moulin Rouge! more, and they know it.

I don't think we should blame Stone for her fans, that's something that is beyond her control - I am quite hot and cold with Stone, sometimes I love her, sometimes she annoys the hell out of me (La La Land made me LOATH her during that film's run lol! I HATED that film). In fact, when I think of it, to be honest the only film I truly love of hers is The House Bunny (lol) and I do like The Favourite. So I think I boil it down to that I like her as a person, but typically her film choices just aren't compatible with my tastes.

Not a fan of Stone. At all. I honestly don't understand what's the big deal about her. But I would love Nicole to be in a good commercial production with a showy role. Hopefully she gets the role and she steals all the attention:)

I'm puzzled here. Director is great, screenwriter and producers too. I like Emma Stone. With The Favourite I think I discover her again. Project is prestigious for sure but if it's all that Hollywood have to offer her... it's a bit embarrasing. Supporting villain in Disney movie?

I'm also on board with this sentiment, I mean seriously are villian/mother roles all what commercial hollywood has to offer actresses in Nic's age bracket, its kind of depressing where the best we can hope for Nicole is Madame Morrible and or this Baroness Cruella creator. That is why I'd much rather she do a horror movie, the genre is so alive now, I recently watched and enjoyed "escape room" even though it wasn't well reviewed.

If made well this can be a really great thing and an iconic role for her but if it turn bad, it will be a disaster. No middle point in this one.... for me its great she do it but I’m so waiting for her to joiin another project with a great auteur...lets wait...

Yeah the reports have mentioned a bunch of really amazing actresses. So nothing's confirmed yet. I look at it as another possibly juicy villainess like Paddington or Golden Compass or Stoker. She can do wonders with it.

I need this! This would be be brilliant for Kidman. I would hope the Cruella story would be a good one, but even if it's not, if Nicole is on board and has some delicious scenes then it would be worth it. This would be a guaranteed box office hit.
Not thrilled by the Stone casting of Cruella. I hope they aren't going to do another ''Maleficent'' that has to be the overrated film of the last decade for me. Very PC! I am here for the ''Mistress of all Evil'' sequel, with Michelle Pfeiffer starring and in a lead role. Spoiler about that a few comments down...
Spoiler. I don't know if anyone else follows Pfeiffer's career or knows the details for M2, i've read on a Michelle forum similar to this, that she has a lead role, and will be the villain. Some spoilers are echos of her ''Stardust'' character, and the tile ''Mistress of all Evil'' points to her character Queen Ingrid. That's what some die hard Pfeiffer fans have posted. So that sounds very exciting. If she wasn't in the sequel i'd not be interested seeing as they've ruined the character of Maleficent. Sorry to plug Pfeiffer here, i just thought with her and Kidman being friendly, and Nicole very supportive of other women why not!

Yes please! Would love her to be in a big Disney production attracting more younger audience and do a small indie film every now and then. She should take a break from tv... She has like 2 series up for release, and tv shoots take months.
