I'm happy that Nicole turned down the role of the antagonist. To me, this movie seems a huge mess. Another time, a Jokeresque character, another Harley Quinn. Meh. The script seems awful.
Stone is cute, but a bit miscasting. Thompson so extra. I have to see it for a judgment. But my first impression is.. No. Thanks God Nicole is not in this. Maybe she should stay away from Disney.

yes, Kidman is wise enough to avoid Disney AKA "the cancer of the industry", "the murderer of film", "the shameless company of all time".

Haha, guys she has a huge ass show coming up on Hulu - owned by Disney, btw. The more I watch this trailer, the more I love it. The punk-rock aesthetic. Mark Strong. Tony McNamara's script. I absolutely get the haute couture Harley-meets-Disney's Joker- meets - Maleficent comparisons. And yet. I can't wait.

We'll have to see how this movie turns out. I feel like it would've been between this and The Prom, and I probably would've preferred The Prom anyway. I'm curious to see how it turns out, even though I'm definitely not the target audience. Maybe I'm sheeple, but I do like villain reboots.

I know, but it's not Disney+, just like I won't blame her for her former Fox films.

I liked it too, and yes don't forget the McNamara name, behind The Favourite and The Great, love them both so much, so I'll wait to say something.

Didn't like the trailer, Emma Stone seems forced, her accent also sounds dodgy.

Didn't like the trailer, Emma Stone seems forced, her accent also sounds dodgy. Looks like a pile of... to me. Aesthetically, visually, sonically, narratively. It just looks awful. Like a B movie from the 90s.

That trailer is a mess. I don't want it to fail just because Nicole isn't attached (I like Thompson lots) and Stone is a great comedic actress, but it feels like she's doing a cosplay of what Close did. Like Cruella must have been young at some point but she still feels too young for the role. The wig, the accent... she just feels miscast. And IDK what the hell was the fire dress thing jajajaj

I think it looks generic AF, but it's Disney, so no surprise there...!
