Perfect time to do this. It's been a while since i was online, i've lurked briefly and kept up to date with Kidman (of course!). I've just been working away a lot. I will have to rewatch some Nicole films and come back to post. My number one i can always do, ''Birth''. That will probably stay the same.

Thanks paperboy, but for me to assign points I need the list in order. So I'm assuming you'll update after you've decided.
Hey poison looking forward to your list.

Having seen Destroyer and thinking long and hard about my list, here goes:
01. Birth 02. The Others 03. Destroyer 04. To Die For 05. Margot at the Wedding 06. Dogville 07. The Hours 08. Big Little Lies 09. Moulin Rouge 10. Rabbit Hole 11. Strangerland 12. Eyes Wide Shut 13. Stoker 14. The Killing of a Sacred Deer 15. The Paperboy 16. Portrait of a Lady 17. Bangkok Hilton 18. Hemingway & Gellhorn 19. The Beguiled 20. Lion
To round it up as my top 25. 21. Dead Calm 22. Practical Magic 23. The Golden Compass 24. Cold Mountain 25. Malice/Batman Forever! (hate to double rank, but seeing as it's just an extra bit to this post, it won't apply as top 20 is 20!)
I've pretty much enjoyed all of Nicole's work. GOM was unfortunate. ''My Life'' was zzzz and Some of her early screen roles she's yet to grow, it would be unfair to to judge those too harshly.

Oh my god, it is so hard to rank her performances and I've thought about it for a long time. Here is my list:
1 Destroyer (Yes, it tops my list because I never thought I would see Nicole in an action-packed movie and this role is anti-type one for her. She fights, yells and hurts herself, which impresses and moves me. I want to give her a big thumb for her courage and brave at this stage of her career)
2 Birth (The opera scene deserves a Oscar ) 3 The hours (She gives her soul in this film)
4 Paperboy (I love this performance so much, and Nicole brings such a raw, complicated and sympathetic character alive)
5 Big little lies (This role suits her very well, which is very lucky for an actress. And her performance is Impeccable in all aspects, especially in therapy scenes )
6 To die for (She is Susan stone)
7 Rabbit hole (As a mother, her performance breaks my heart)
8 Moulin Rouge (she sings, she dances and she dies)
9 Dogville (This film is my favorite at all time and I am eager for them to work together)
10 The others(she is a queen of horror film) 11 The Killing of a Sacred Deer
12 Strangerland
13 Portrait of a Lady
14 Malice
15 Margot at the wedding
16 Practical Magic
17 Eyes Wide Shut
18 The Beguiled
19 Hemingway and Gellhorn
20 Boy erased

Yeah, there are only like 3/4 performances of hers I don't at least like. One of which is actually "Portrait of a Lady", which I know everybody else loves!

I would have too but I unlike Birth Destroyer has yet to mature so thats why I decided against giving it number 1. five more to go guys.

Agree with most. It is a really hard task. She has so many great performances, that depending of the mood I'm in, i may change the order. The only thing clear is that MOULIN ROUGE is my number one spot. She was simply divine and at the peak of her beauty, also because Moulin Rouge propelled her to stardom. Moulin Rouge To Die For (because that was the performance for her first oscar) Birth (flawless performance) The Others The Hours (Magnificent as Virginia Wolf) Eyes Wide Shut (underrated movie and great performance. Supporting nom, at least) Portrait of a Lady Cold Mountain Dogville Destroyer (virtuoso performance) Big Little Lies Birthday girl (she was awesome in that movie) Lion Paperboy Rabbit Hole The Beguiled Killing of a Sacred Deer The Golden Compass (she was Mrs Coulter and I wanted a fantasy trilogy) Nine (Im in the minority, I love the film, just to see her with Loren, Cotillard, Cruz and Dench... is a dream) Boy Erased.
Sadly I left movies like Fur, Practical Magic, Dead Calm, Stoker and Aquaman that I enjoy...

For god sake it's really so hard and a delicate matter!
1-the hours 2-Moulin Rouge 3-Big little lies 4-to die for 5-the others 6-Cold mountain 7-Birth 8-Lion 9-Destroyer 10-Rabbit hole 11-eyes wide shut 12-the paperboy 13-the portrait of a lady 14-Hemingway and Gellhorn 15-The interpreter (loved her so much in that movie) 16-The killing of a sacred deer 17-Margot at the wedding 18-Dogville 19-The beguiled 20-Boy erased
there are some honorable mentions like dead calm, malice, stoker, Fur, strangerland, i also adore her in Australia and nine (but tried to be a little objective here even though i love those two movies), i didn't include her role terrific turns in fantasy movies like the golden compass and paddington, haven't seen aquaman and the upside yet.
