They said no masks and it was worse than most zoom awards shows. I actually love the most of the winners, but the direction was just so poor. WTF, Soderbergh?

Anyway, Youn Yuh-jung is an Oscar winner! 윤여정쌤 축하해요!
South Korea is represented two years in a row. I'm proud of my country.

Frances mcdormand three best actress academy awards, I was watching Dark Man the other day and who would have thought she would be in such an esteemed position. I really thought we would have a different actress crowned in each awards guild, looks like Bafta and Academy went in the same direction.

Soooo happy for Hopkins.... Frances on the other hand, not a fair winner, I was rooting for Mulligan.

I really love Yuh-Jung Youn's response to this insipid backstage question.

I really love Yuh-Jung Youn's response to this insipid backstage question. I’m sure Brad Pitt had alluring aftershave on, but those kinda questions really? At the Oscars? 🙄

old white men still rule the Academy, they just don't luv Meryl anymore. And good for them, jajajajaj Anyways, verrrrrrry happy for Hopkins, he was the best in his category by far (and Ahmed #2, Boseman was dead last to me). Mulligan was my #1 but I can't be mad at McDormand (who was my #2) because she's gonna use this win to continue to produce and star in interesting challenging films. And agreed with the "smell him" question. Girl, calm down, these are the Oscars, not your cousin's bachelorette party.

Maybe The trial of Chicago went home empty will help Aaron Sorkin and Being the Ricardos in the next year. my thoughts exactly. totc7 wasnt necessarily a fave this year, but the lack of wins doesnt give him any ill will.

(with some rules changing elements of cuz..) I think if we're talking about the performance only, it should be Kirby, in my opinion. but Mcdormand did a solid job, we all know the ture leading actress of the film is Zhao. Mcdormand is a living pen for Zhao to draw, it's hard to shine, but she did nothing wrong, for me this win is better than TBOEM. I can'r believe she's got three Oscars in lead. That beats Meryl. I think McDormand is a good actress. But could she pull off a British or an Australian accent? Could she do Shakespeare? Could she give a great comedic performance? For me, she's the female equivalent of Tom Hanks - quintessentially American, quintessentially herself, and not very versatile. She's veering into overrated territory.

It was such a choppy show. Badly executed. No acting reels. Best Picture announced BEFORE Best Actress and Best Actress. And the show ended without a victory speech. CRINGE. LOL the reason they saved Best Actor for last was because everyone including myself thought for sure Chadwick Boseman was going to win, so that the show would've ended in a bittersweet, poignant speech from his family. However, Anthony Hopkins' win (and did not even show up) messed up their plan BIG TIME.
CONGRATULATIONS to Anthony Hopkins, who made one of the all-time Best Actor performances in my opinion !!!
His performance is going down in history as one of the all time greats. I would play it to acting students. He took the words on the page and took them not just to the next level, but to a galaxy far far away. I have no personal connection to dementia, but he had me sobbing. What an actor, and could not be happier for him.
