Being the Ricardos (rumor says the shooting starts this summer) Paris Memories (rumor says the shooting starts in April, fingers crossed) untitled AGC studio period drama comedy, looks like this project is dead but who knows. Wow thank you.

I hope she does a role in The Female Persuasion. That book was a bombshell (not quite as ubiquitous as BLL, but still very popular) and if it's a good adaptation with her in a strong supporting role, it'd be great a project.

With the status of the industry today, I think the roles of TV and cinema have reversed.
WB just announced every tentpole blockbuster they will release this year also will be released on HBO max.
Wonder Woman 1984 barely managed to make US$ 40 million from North America compared to the original which grossed us$ 412 million from North America alone.
The industry is in pieces any fillmore now will come with a streaming platform release date.

I really don't get why she keeps spending money on projects that are never going to happen. I am not saying this one in particular will not materialise but she has acquired the rights of so many things in the past two years that it's becoming a bit silly if you ask me. Even if she only produces them, she still needs the time for that. Who remembers Cuddles, Crime Farm and many others? I really don't get it. Ideally she would become the female version of Brad Pitt. Although Brad seems to have a better eye as a producer. I disagree. A smart actor will always have multiple irons in the fire. And of course she'll park her self-produced content if Amazon or Sorkin offers her a star role. She is a very smart cookie. So much so she'll never run out of roles. When ever the roles stop coming, she just open a drawer and voila!

http://instagram.com/p/CNTPaoTpPnP Again, Blossom Films account posted this today. Maybe, Things I Know To Be True and Hope are her priority project to produce now. Are they suggesting Maria Sodahl on board to direct? It would be a smart move, and a match for Nicole's politic to work with a female director every year.

Is there precedence where the same director has made an English language adaptation of their original foreign language film? I can't think of one. This would be a film-to-series adaptation so that's an even more rare occurrence. Very curious to see how this materializes.

Gloria/Gloria Bell, with Sebastián Lelio and Julianne Moore starring in the latter, comes to mind.

I fell in love with that story. I've watched Hope last year just before Christmas and watched it once again now. I was thinking a lot about Nicole during first and second viewing. She should be playing characters like that. Personally speaking I am completely losing connection to latest Nicole roles and choices to be honest since Bombshell when there was so much talking about trio of actresses, how Charlize was "grateful" to Nicole and result was 15 minute appearance. I have nothing good to say about The Undoing and The Prom. Not really feeling NPS, totally not feeling Being the Ricardos and even The Northman at this point is not exciting to me for many reasons. Please, don't bash me. I know many of us see Nicole latest choices as successes and many of us look at her future choices in a very optimistic way which I totally respect and apprecieate. I feel like Nicole (again) is chasing some truly impossible Hollywood standards even now with the small amount independency she gain in last five years but that's different topic. Both Hope and Things I know to be true (if both will ever be made eventually with Nicole participation) brings some hope:) to me at least. Would love to see the play - TIKTBT but for now I saw Hope. Back to HOPE:) It's definitely a drama but with a thriller quality to it. Storyline sounds basic but how it evolves during viewing it's guite unexpected, not sentimental and very "lively"? Beautiful performance from Andrea Braein Hovig. It's also perfect role for Nicole. I love how many european movies makes You feel being so close to the character - her journey/choices/feeling all the emotions. Well:) That's not a "european" quality but I felt that mostly in many european movies. Also, character of a husband is truly unique and I feel like this could be finally a project for Nicole and Ralph Fiennes collaboration. He would be perfect for the role and I think they will have right chemistry. Besides great character and moving story I think there are some great ideas turning Hope into series. Movie takes place during 10 days period of time so it would perfectly fir into 10 episodes. Also, storylines and subject matters can be richer and even more compelling. So just watch Hope:) Great movie.

Why should anyone bash you for not liking any of Nicole Kidman's work over the last three four projects and not liking any of her upcoming projects.
That is just your own personal taste and you are entitled to it, just as long as you are not forcing it on others there is no problem.
I am glad you like "Hope" and hope the English remake would be just as effective.

Just trying not to be misunderstood:) I love Nicole and these are just my thoughts. Yes, Hope is truly wonderful and original take on very exploited subject matter. I also hope Nicole version will be that good and effective. Thanks, Mr Dedlock:)

Thanks for recommending Hope - I think I'll wait for Nicole's version so I can be really engrossed in it. Totally seconding Dedlock, you can dislike anything you want, it's just your personal opinion:)

I just watched the film, what a beautiful piece, very moving emotional ride, delicately touching on life, relationship, fate, family and much more. Exquisitely performed by the two leads, and a showcase of Andrea's brilliant work. Thank you triflo for your recommendation. In saying that I really hope it doesn't get a remake, and definitely not a TV show, I completely agree with Triflo that I would love Nicole do something like that, but I don't think any production can add any value to a perfectly mastered film. Watch it if you find it❤️
