Hello, lovely people,
Interested in knowing what's the more adored of these two around here?
Thank you all,

I grew up watching Cold Mountain (which I probably shouldn't have, since I was a child) and it's a classic to me, but I'm sure if I rewatched now it wouldn't hold up as well. Rabbit Hole I saw at 15 and it left such a lasting impression on me. So hopeful.
So Rabbit Hole.

Definitely Rabbit Hole for me. I could never really get into Cold Mountain, despite the fantastic performances and direction. The script always felt a little lacking to me, but Rabbit Hole is so well made, it feels effortless.

They like flirt a bit and then he's off to war and it never truly made sense to me why she waited for him so ardently other than because he was hot as fuck.

It should be Cold Mountain but Rabbit Hole is a lot better in my opinion. Cold Mountain aspired to be too epic and failed big time at it.

Cold Mountain seems a better film, but Kidman is amazing in Rabbit Hole!! also the theme about religion and science and grief is very interesting.

Cold mountain is definitely the better film, it's actually my third favorite behind the hours and moulin rouge in Nicole's filmography but rabbit hole has the better performance.

Cold Mountain is a gorgeous film, the closest that Nicole will play Scarlett O' Hara, she looks very ethereal so I preferred Cold Mountain over Rabbit Hole, but I found Rabbit Hole very intimate and Nicole gives her all there! I will say 51% vs 49% in favor of CM!

I actually rewatched Cold Mountain about 2 months ago and I was kind of surprised it was much less good than I remembered and I wasn't even a fan in the first place.
Rabbit Hole is a very good film, and has a fantastic performance from Nicole.

Although I have to say, Nicole looks sensational in Cold Mountain. Just so, so pretty. So I don't mind its existence because thanks to CM, we have Nicole during her prime (in terms of physical beauty) in various period costumes.

But in those days, it kinda was like that. People would fall in love on a Monday, and then on Saturday - off to war he goes. A lot of critics have a problem with that, but I didn't mind it. Their chemistry was good enough. It feels like Rabbit Hole will be the winner here!

I need to rewatch this movie, actually. Always hovers outside my top 10 NK films, and maybe it's time it entered it.

I wish cold Mountain was a better film, it could have been a classic epic, it was a decent film, that actually aged well, but it's not good enough.
To me Rabbit Hole is a very special film, she delivered the hell out of that performance, and managed to get all these awards nods, beautifully made, well directd, perfectly scored. I watched it so many times I love it.
