Anyone else think Rosamund Pike is a great comparison to Kidman? She has that very controlled and composed quality that I think other actresses don't always have a grasp on. You can never tell what she's thinking, but she's able to convey so much in so little. And every word that comes out of her mouth is deranged. I love her! I think it's pretty cool she was inspired by TDF to create some of her work and I loooooove her Amy. Would love it if she worked with Nicole one day.

started a new thread, cause we were moving off topic from BTR, and especially since any activity in that thread causes me a panic attack and heart palpitations.

I would say Elle fanning, specially after watching "the great" I can't wait to see more of her. I can't stand Pike...I think she is very overrated. No idea what's the big deal about her.

I think that there are a lot of great new underrated actresses. For example, I'm a huge fan of Betty Gilpin, she was great in Glow and she made an impressive work in The Hunt. Her monologue about the tale of jack rabbit, took my breath away. Elisabeth Moss is fantastic too, I loved her last year in Shirley. youtu.be/WlsCFW3gKtYFor the young generation, I stan Samara Weaving (I'm very happy that she is in 9PS) and Rachel Brosnahan (she is incredible in Mrs. Maisel). I'm a fan of Anya Taylor Joy since The Witch (I'm obsessed with that movie), but I'm not completely enthusiast of her performance in The Queen's Gambit, I more appreciated her in Emma.

I'm really excited to see ATJ and Weaving share scenes with Nicole. I discovered both through horror and I'm very interested in seeing what they do next. I think a name I also believe will get a breakthrough soon, and who could work with Nicole (maybe, Mice?) is Thomasin Mackenzie! She was fantastic in Leave no trace!

Oh yes:) I love Rachel Brosnahan. She's very talented. I recently watched I'm Your Woman with her on Amazon. She was absolutely fantastic. I fell in love with Anya since The Witch. Loved that movie. Both Anya and Elisabeth Moss are fantastic but it's also a matter of truly incredible projects and chances they are getting. They will surprise us all in coming years. I'm sure about that:)

Elle Fanning definitely deserves to be part of this conversation. Her work in The Great was outstanding, and the fact that she produced the show exacerbates it even more! She's got an ethereal quality to her rarely seen in cinema. I'm in awe of that girl. She just needs to find better projects (her filmography is not that impressive as the filmography of the other actresses mentioned her), but I'm glad she's producing. Can't wait for S2 of The Great!

Margot Robbie is actually really good in that tacky queen of Scott’s movie. I’d say she even outshines Ronan, but Elizabeth II was always the main character.
I hated Pieces of a Woman but Vanessa tried her best.

Since The VVitch Anya Taylor-Joy has been on my one to watch and of course she had a great year last year. Have any of you seen the trailer for “Last Night in Soho?” youtu.be/tB9WUIv9KH8 I think It looks brilliant. For A24 fans, art house psychologist horror/thriller fans definitely! This will keep me pumped, “Nine Perfect Strangers” and then seeing Anya working with Nicole in “The Northman” next year!

Also I think Florence Pugh is one to watch. Enjoyed her breakthrough in “Lady MacBeth”. Sort of role I’d love to have seen Kidman do in the late 90s. To answer who’s Nicole’s next in line, it’s tricky, we have talent working and working well, but there really isn’t anyone like Nicole Kidman. Like there’s no one like Glenn Close, Cate Blanchett, Angela Bassett, Meryl, Julianne Moore, but even Kidman, what she’s achieved, her reinventions. In some ways like a modern Crawford but giving more artistic freedom. And talking of there was no one like Marlene Dietrich, Joan Crawford, Barbara Stanwyck, Bette Davis, Vivien Leigh, Ingrid Bergman, even Marilyn Monroe. I think we will get new icons in their own lane but it’s hard to say at the moment, but Anya is impressing me the most.

The male ATJ shade I remember like 3 things about him. A, he works out. B, he had 4 girls with his 10 year older director wife. C, he is really bad in blockbusters but good in Nocturnal Animals. (I also know that he has a big cock.)
