We talked about our favorite movies of Nicole's filmography and our favorite performances. Best roles and best directors. But, what's, sincerely, the movies you watched so many times from Nicole. Mine is absolutely...
The Others
God I lost the number of times I see it. I know every word from the script. And actually I can't stop watching it, I see it at least from one to three times per year.
Follow-up: Moulin Rouge Birth The Paperboy

Would I sound crazy if I tell you I have watched Moulin Rouge! on Valentine's Day, The Others/Practical Magic around Halloween time and Eyes Wide Shut around Christmas time, every year, for the past 10ish year?

Excellent thread, river. It would be " The Hours" for me. I watch it every year ever since I discovered it in 2010. The movie is a masterpiece and so profound that touches me deeply every single time I watch it.
" The Invasion", the movie that made me become a Kidmaniac (she mesmerized me, I couldn't stop thinking about her ), would be second.

1) Birth 2) Practical Magic 3) The Hours 4) The others 5) Stoker 6) Destroyer
I've watched the first 5 alot alot!
Destroyer im suprised how rewatch friendly it is, upon rewatch you notice more flaws in the films direction and logic but Kidman is just so damn good she makes you forget.

I tried rewatching Destroyer (which I gave 7/10 initially) and just find myself wanting to edit a lot of it out. A tighter script and fewer flashbacks and a shorter running time would have done wonders for the movie. As it is, it's a bit of a chore to get through. But Kidman is phenomenal. If the movie was tighter and better received she would have been nominated for sure!

Mmmmmm I can't recall the most watched movie, but I watched these many times over the years:
Moulin rouge The hours Rabbit Hole Birth Margot at the wedding
That's why I really need her to lead in a brilliant film again... Rabbit Hole to me personally was her last great film/leading And that was over 10 years ago 🥺

And The Undoing was IT, for me (a leading role in a good project) - but it was in a different format. BLL was more of an ensemble so I don't count it. But in Nicole's defence, it's not for lack of trying. This is what happens when you hit 40 and 50 in Hollywood, the lead role pool dries out. Aside from Blue Jasmine and Carol, Blanchett doesn't have much to show for for the last ten years either... Moore had Still Alice and Gloria Bell... Most of their other films are ensemble pieces. Even Portman had pretty much just Jackie after Black Swan, and Annihilation to an extent. The rest, like Vox Lux and Lucy in the Sky etc were turkeys. But yeah, at least these actresses had one great project in the past ten years in the leading role. BEING THE RICCARDOS HAS GOT TO WORK!

Agreed I would have edited out alot of the flashbacks and made it more of a mystery as to how she became like this, spelling it out to us in multiple flash backs took away from the superior existing narrative and mystery, flashbacks detracted more than added. But the main story timeline was just tops.

A few flashbacks towards the end with the key scenes would have been enough to motivate her.

Moulin Rouge! Loved the music.
Thr Stepford Wives. I'm one of the few people super entertained by this. The line about Bette Middler's mom, "I Love You, But Please Die!" cracks me up so much. This movie also had gay characters pre-Brokeback.
The Hours. I've seen the whole film maybe 3-4 times, but the railway scene I watch on Youtube time and time again.
