She's a better writer than she is as a film director (as of yet) but she's certainly better than Michael Grandage, Jonathan Teplitzky, Jason Bateman, Billy Ray, Rowan Joffe, Olivier Dahan, and Neil Burger. Maggie's Plan was very well-received. She has won Gotham, Independent Spirits, and Sundance for her earlier works. Her films actually have interesting ideas or themes, it's just a shame that sometimes they fall short. Still, I think it could be a nice change for Nicole, if her role is half as fun as Julianne Moore's in Maggie's Plan. And it's always nice to see Nicole actually working with female directors. Can't agree more, exactly. I really enjoyed Maggie's Plan, I'm going to search more films from Miller. I love Kidman working with female directors. Just love it!

Omg I'd love it if Kidman is the Opera singer! How cool would that be.

Omg I'd love it if Kidman is the Opera singer! How cool would that be. Right?! I am a huge opera fan myself, will be going this summer to Salzburg Festival (five operas in a row! can't wait), so the prospect of seeing Nicole on the opera stage (hopefully!) is just so enticing. I already picture the story of their rivalry with Schumer, an aging seen-it-all superstar vs. cranky Netrebko-style young prodigy. Too good!

Who gets obsessed with Kidman the opera singer. My sole experience with Opera is madame butterfly, which I didn't really like.

There's a marvellous film with Glenn Close playing am opera singer called Meeting Venus from the 90s

No news since March 2017 about that project. With BLL Season 2 happening in the Spring and The Goldfinch it won't happen anytime soon. Not sure what happened exactly. Do You think the project is dead or Nicole will be replaced?

Really like The Ballad of Jack and Rose and really loved Maggie's Plan. It was very funny, eloquent, in the mood of early Woody Allen movies. Great cast with great performances. She came to me sounds very similar in tone with great group of actors. I am still hoping she will star in it anyway.

I'm hoping she still makes this project. I love her commitment. She said she was working with female directors every 18 months and she is already set to shoot three projects helmed by a woman in 2018.

I thought she will film that just after Destroyer but The Goldfinch suddenly cameout of nowhere.
