i don't think she's dropping out of the Rebecca Miller film. Nicole is pretty serious about her commitment help female filmmakers, and her leaving the project could cause it to fall apart or lose finance. And Miller interviewed Nicole for Glamour magazine a few months ago and was gushing about Nicole's talent and how excited she was to work with Nicole.
Schedules just have to line up probably. Once Big Little Lies is done shooting, a late summer or fall shoot date is likely. Nicole is in demand now, so Miller is probably waiting for that free spot in her diary to start.

Yes, you're right BUT Carrell and Schumer are also big names. I think something went wrong with that one because Schummer dropped out of another project to do this movie. Barbie the Movie was supposed start filming in June. After chcecking schedules it seems like Carrell was the one who was the most problematic because he was non-stop on movie sets during last year. Now with BLL S2 and especially The Goldfinch she won't be able to do that movie.

I am happy this project is still going on. I want Kidman to work with as many female directors as possible.

Not sure if this still going on with Nicole. Seems like both Nicole and Steve Carrell are very busy. Pre-production sounds like takien from imdb list. I just hope it will happen with Nicole.

I don’t know the director so I’m not too invested in this. The fact she’s a woman means nothing to me as an audience. It would be great to see Nic in a comedy though.

All the articles about Amy Schumer signing with WME mention "She Came to Me" but none say anything about the status of the movie.

It's been taken from imdb. I think it's officially dead at least for now. Not sure what went wrong with that project.

I think it's the screenplay. but just like The Silence Wife and #51 Photos, rather these projects won't happen.

I think screenplay was ready since the cast and production was announced. You think it was simply bad?

I think after the whole cast said yes, there's usually one final draft to do.
probably that final version went wrong? maybe they said something inspired Miller,
and her new idea scared someone or the money, or just not what they sighed for.
but for me it's such a relief, cuz I don't think Miller is a good director at all,
if it's not her superdad and terrific mom, I even doubt can she ever be a filmmaker.
