Does anyone know why she gets a thanks credit for the house jack has built? Is it Lars thanking her? Was Nicole considered for Uma's role? I still want Lars to do another great film. Something as good as his earlier work. Just saw The house of Jack. Wow. This man... There is a footage of Nicole in Dogville in there. I was really surprised. Think is the only director who put his previous movies in his movie lol I dream she will join him in another cinematography adventure.

I just remember being in awe from Chanel no 5 to Schweppes!, but her career was in trouble when she did this ad, she just went through the 2008 backlash and was going to hit her industry expiration date of 40. My my looking back I really thought she was finished, it was horrible as fan on the IMDB Board for trolls all singing her career eulogy. well she sure showed them all! as for the ad itself it hasnt aged well, and I'll leave it at that.

Um... you should read that again. It's not that hard to qualify, studios could literally just give paid internships to women during production and make sure minorities are involved in the marketing, publicity and/or distribution of the film. It's basically the bare minimum they could do. These standards simply FORCES them to do it.
By the way, I'd be interested to know how else "lefties expropriate the freedom of creation"? This is going to shock you, but most art created all over the world is created by left-leaning individuals. Most of the movies, books, plays and music you're ever enjoyed exists thanks to "lefties".

I really hope it's very indie and weird. Or that's at least what I personally hope for.

It's crazy. Really insane. It totally change everything. I'm really upset by what's happening. Everything is changing day after day. I'm totally fed up by this argument... Oscartoowhite, me too, all the movies remodeled by these stardard. People who are obsessed they are a minority everyday. This year a Korean movie won best picture. There are a lot of production only for black people, there are awards only for black (if was the opposite it would be outrageous)... I'm not a usa citizen, I'm totally out of politics, racial situation, but i've never seen a discrimination in this industry, honestly (maybe something discriminatory for Asian actor, but I find hard to bealive academy don't vote for Asian actor for racism) . I really don't get the point.

Please respect should be the foundation for all dialogue, as a mod I have to maintain neutrality for right, left, center left, center right and upside-down. The easiest means to achieve this is just to avoid and focus on the topic at hand. See I was distracted by that left comment and I don't even know what the academy has decided. Ki

Just looking at every year's nominated films you make an obvious observation on what films really dominate the awards. Which productions get recognition, and we always talk about the oscar bait films. And that's very unfortunate, cause the majority of these films are not the best out there. And it's not in anyway a reflection of the finest cinema in the world, so many of these films "every year" are so bad that i can't even finish let alone get oscar nominations. I personally lost Oscars credibility long time ago. Every now and then they recognize decent work, but the rest of thier list is just a crime.

I get that you don't understand why this is case but I guess that is the whole point alot of people feel like they are not being heard and understood and based on that their society permits for them to vent their long standing frustrations. Whereby in other societies in the world more authoritarian customs prevent any sort of dissent and protesting is considered a threat against peacr. Whatever, the case let us not be disrespectful and justbfixus on the topic at hand.
