Speaking of Tully and Young Adult... I would love to see Nicole work with Jason Reitman. I hope not, first of all I think his talent is very dry and flat now, it's not in the "Up in the Air" stage this days. and geeky nerdy american comedy are not nic's cup of tea, I believe. like Jason Bateman ruined a beautiful book of hers already. he basically deleted all her character's juicy scenes. just because those comedian nerds don't get her kind of feminism and art pursue. there's so many groups of comedies, the nerd kind, the Adam Sandler kind, the David O Russell kind, the Woody Allen kind... in my opinion the "Arrested Development" nerd kind are definitely not a good match for her at all. how awkward it will be, if she does one. so even Gus Van Sant is not at his best today, still he is way better than someone like Reitman, Bateman for our girl. I'm not trash talking about comedian nerds, just people differ, maybe they understand Rabbit Hole (Adam Scott), but not her comedy talent. I disagree with pretty much all of this. I think Nicole excels at offbeat dry American humour. I mean, To Die For, Margot at the Wedding, Rabbit Hole... It's also unfair to blame Bateman for "deleting her juicy scenes" in The Family Fang. He didn't write the script nor edit the film. He wasn't even a producer and Nicole WAS. I happen to really like that film and think it was an excellent adaptation of a great book. And it got a positive reception so...

Your English is terrible, it's really difficult to read what you write sometimes. At the end of the day, it's all subjective. I'm not really sure why you keep talking about Arrested Development, though. As far as I'm aware, Jason Reitman didn't produce or direct it, nor do I think his work is really similar.

Oh Asghar Farhadi... Yes please, but I want her to do a role in one of his Iranian films, maybe where she plays an Australian woman who lives in Iran or a film set with rest of the cast Iranian. He seems to work better with Iranian script material, although "the past" was a masterpiece... This will never happen, but I would love her to work with him. He is a pure genius.

And on The Family Fang, the reason a lot of Annies scenes didn't end up in the film is because the character in the book is in her twenties and it would have been utterly preposterous for Nicole to have done them on screen. I completely disagree that Bateman took advantage of his role as director to make himself the star of the film, in fact I think the film balanced all of the roles really well. And the critics thought so too.

Wasn't intending to be mean, it's just hard reading posts which have little to no punctuation to separate thoughts. Apologies for being so blunt about it though.

Ok sorry. You can say everything you want, of course , but I thought he/she could feel bad for that you wrote. I got your point by the way.
Anyway i don’t know what to think about this project. I don’t like the subject material, neither her character...but i remeber when i’ve seen Truth by Cate Blanchett and i hoped for a movie based by true events for Nicole as well. It could be possible a similar movie. Don’t know...

Has this been confirmed, some articles are saying they're in "talks " some are saying they've finalized.
Do we have anything official?

Oh, I'm not to keen on John Lithgow but he did a commendable job in " the crown " season 1.
Too bad they couldn't get jack.

Russell Crowe had been cast as Roger ailes in the TV mini series.
Anybody else nervous that these two seem like they're competing with each other.
Personally, I think the mini series medium is better suited for the subject material.

Personally, I think the mini series medium is better suited for the subject material. I thought about it. My understanding was, Russell Crowe's Showtime’s limited series is an adaptation of Gabriel Sherman’s book, “The Loudest Voice in the Room.” I haven't read that book but I think that's an almost biographical account, especially about his rise, his fierce corporate manipulation, and how he built the most influential television news empire in the US. www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/972289-kari-skogland-to-direct-first-episodes-of-showtimes-roger-ailes-seriesOn the other hand, the film supposedly focuses on the multiple accusations of sexual misconduct leveled by female employees at Fox leading to Ailes's fall and is their story as opposed to his. Hoping there isn't too much of an overlap.

What are the potential release dates looking like? Hopefully the film can beat the TV series to the punch...
