Sandra Oh is Canadian, but I get your point. Plus the Korean American is a college graduate so they'll be looking for somebody younger.

Yes, the Korean American actress would have to be able to pull of being in their 20s. It doesn't make sense if they're older. I don't know if they'll keep Margaret as an 8th Korean, that may be tricky to cast. And then Olivia is probably in her late 30s in the book. But if Nicole is taking a role in it the ages of the characters may be changed around too.

Do you guys think that this will go into production before the undoing?

Do you guys think that this will go into production before the undoing? I don't think so. We know "The Undoing" go into production next year. I guess "The Expatriates" won't shoot before 2020.

From her previous outings in Asia with Omega and Unifem, I hope she’s able to tap into Asian cinema and even cast some relative unknowns. Someone like Kim Ok-Bin who was terrific in Thirst might be a good choice.

Someone like Kim Ok-Bin who was terrific in Thirst might be a good choice. I hope so too. There's going to be many characters so I think they can afford taking a chance on a couple of little-known but good actresses. Plus, they can use someone's popularity in Asia to market the show better for worldwide audiences.

Gotta admire Kidman's work ethic. We don't deserve her!

Wow Kidman is taking a bigger role than I thought with the Amazon deal, also it's nice to see she's trying to revive the 90's erotic thrillers genre which they have rephrased to "sexy date night movies" lol.
Something tells me " the silent wife " is still alive!

Malice and Dead Calm are as trashy as I want her to get...

I don't know how I feel about the whole thing. I am happy that she's so ambitious and doing all of these things, but I know she has a lot of tv stuff lined up and I just hope she can manage doing films with great directors at a decent rate as well.

Anyone reading/read the book? I'm just over half-way through it at the moment, struggling to really identify which of the women is for Nicole, Margaret or Hilary?
