About Salma Hayek comments... Reallh not nice. I can understand her frustration and she could easily something like "Oh, I would love to read more scripts and have more opportunities just like Nicole Kidman". Still not nice but passable like making a point about latina actresses and lack of roles for them. But she was really awful and she ridiculed Nicole and her win. That Harvey part was particularly awful. The whole comment make her sound really jealous. Still jealous after like 17-18 years? Jealous because of the "lack of big Miramax campaign". I know it was a struggle for her to even make a movie about Frida, get the role and mostly financing it be herself... but come on! Blame the system, not one actress. May I add that she is married with a multimillionaire? I mean, Nicole had been through a time where she was almost cut off from Hollywood. She created her own company to try to works by her own and trying to change the fact that actresses around fourty are set aside, that is another discrimination too. She allowed to be in movies almost with a 'free salary' and she moved on TV industry with H&G ... I can say the same about all black powerfull actress who complained all the time there are no roles for black women (Viola Davis? Do you hear me?). Well, you all have your bank account full of dollars, invest in a industry who made you rich, who need your support in terms of quality and equality, and do something. I mean, Sandra Oh produced Minari this year, and it s a possible BP winner. Salma didn't anything since Frida, and I understand it was a traumatic episode since Weinstein tried ruin that movie etc...but she could just go on. She is so powerful... Let's be clear. I have nothing against Salma Hayek, she is a good actress, I just hate the hypocrisy and all this victims status all these powerful and rich are surrounded.

Really? We're dissing an actress over an inkling?😟 Please don't start anything here I've been following this industry for many years, I am entitled to my inklings, you don't have to engage if you disagree. No problem:) will disengage (fans stirring up drama between actors is not my scene). Enjoy:)

What's Nicole's relationship with Julianne Moore. Whenever they interacted, it felt odd. Not to mention, whenever she comes up in an interview, Julianne looks a little..... strange. kidman has always held her in high esteem, I dont recall Moore ever saying anything disrespectful. I think their relationship is curt and professional. Now Tilda Swinton I have another inkling about her not liking kidman.Explain it.

To add to the list, just for fun : Catherine Zeta jones, I can't be sure but is it true that she said something along the lines of Kidman getting all roles out there, sometime early 2000? And matthew mcconaughey, I remember I could feel the tension at paperboy's premier in Cannes, then when she started getting all the wards nods, Zak and John were congratulating her, but nothing from Matthew. But then years later they both made an appearance on Ellen.

Now Tilda Swinton I have another inkling about her not liking kidman.Explain it. Lol, I think I explained it in the past but my inkling primarily comes from their lack of interaction at all events they're together. There was this sag or golden globe incident where kidman walked by her and she was blinded by the cameras and didn't notice Tilda was behind her, Swinton made this very annoyed facial expression. Then Queen of the desert was a role Swinton wanted and I recall she made some disparaging remarks and said she was initially cast as Bell in a different version of the film to be directed by Anthony Minghella. I really hope to see Kidman and Swinton on screen together someday.

With Mathew I remeber the tension with the paperboy in cannes and how Kidman took all the attention and publicity and drowned out his performance. He looked uncomfortable and almost cold towards her.

gosh I luv all these bitching, slaping, back stabbing, donkey punching.. this is what stars and the hollywood mean, I need this way more than political correctness lessons. if a diva didn't trash someone for no reason, then she is just not a fucking one. 21st sucks these days. only if Kidman is not a character in the stories, it'll be even awesome-er.

Hmm, I think with someone like Nicole Kidman there’s bound to be some green eyed monsters. That was clearly Salma Hayek and Samantha Morton. I’m sure years later Samantha Morton praised Kidman? I’m sure she did. Lack of opportunities shouldn’t be aimed at fellow actresses though (well maybe a tiny bit at Meryl Streep!) It’s not their fault Hollywood and beyond are still very misogynistic.
Some names is it worth speculating? Just because of a photo or one of us disliking an actress? With everything Nicole champions and represents, it doesn’t read very nice. Just my opinion and I have stated the two obvious ones above and agreed on those. I don’t think there’s any excusing their rudeness.
I’m glad someone pointed out Mathew McConaughey, even though we’re only judging his aloofness or appeared aloofness and lack of warmth to Kidman. It’s refreshing not to see women being pitted against women all the time.
Nicole’s my favourite, if some fellow star or celeb trashes her it says more about them. If it’s something petty it doesn’t mean I won’t be a fan of the other person. I can’t even remember the last time I heard Courtney Love blast Kidman. She’s one for an acid mouth that’s for sure but is very talented and gifted. It’s a shame sometimes when they do it but I’m not going to be judge and jury over some petty things.
Back to Kidman. I love how warm and classy she is to fellow females in the business. She’s close to many. And supports many. It says a lot about her character to me. How gracious she is. Shitty gossip rags of course still pit women against each other. I don’t read them so I wouldn’t know of most of the gossipy nonsense. I do see some though, not just Kidman but other ladies in Hollywood. Even those I don’t care for I’m not interested in reading about them being painted as difficult as I know usually it’s bull. Some excuse their favourites but are quick to believe it about stars they don’t like. The Faye Dunaway’s of Hollywood and their notorious unprofessional behaviour are rare today. Faye’s so notorious, you know there’s truth in that. If we’re taking about stars and not celebs (the reality tv famous for being famous scripted trash) I see a lot of women supporting each other. And Nicole’s at the top of that list. Elegant, a true star!
