Oh, really? Any source? Also, please no Edgar R - he was the weakest link in The Undoing. no source just an inkling from my Part! So... I remember a Salma Hayek talk to the SAG, where she talked about Nicole's Oscar speech in 2003. She was a bit mean.

I couldn't for the life of me, find the video or transcript of that interview but I know exactly what y'all are alluding to. I'm forgetting what forum (?SAG interview/THR press junket? for Beatriz at Dinner), Salma was bemoaning the lack of roles written for women of color/Latina actresses. She then went ahead and said 'when Nicole Kidman was accepting her Oscar, she mentioned her agent saying Nicole, of all the scripts, THIS is the script you need to read...' and that it's very different for me because I just didn't have those options...' etc etc etc. When I first heard/read it, it felt very below the belt. But honestly I wonder if she really meant that as an attack on a fellow nominee or was just narrating an example of how she felt in that moment. This I didn't feel that angry about. It was the Samantha Morton Kidman-diss years ago that still makes my blood boil. www.bbcamerica.com/anglophenia/2007/09/samantha-morton-nicole-kidman-is-taking-my-roles

She probably just meant that the best roles are reserved for white A list actresses, which let's face it - they were at the time. As a latina, she's got a very limited pool to choose from. What Samantha said, on the other hand, is indisputably a low blow. Especially since Nicole praised her performance in Breaking the Waves any chance she had. But the thing is - Nicole is attractive, super mode like, and she's as good of an actress as Morton. So, sue them for going with Nicole every time. Morton is literally being a jealous bitch. But whatever - Nicole SHOULD take her roles, she has, she will, so take that! Haha

Hayek's is way worse than Morton's, in my opinion. Morton's is like Missing's, only made me feel sorry for her.
but Hayek did it like Kidman is public enemy No.1 to all actresses, and hates and despises all those women..

no source just an inkling from my Part! Really? We're dissing an actress over an inkling?😟 Please don't start anything here I've been following this industry for many years, I am entitled to my inklings, you don't have to engage if you disagree.

It was all about the tone in which she said things.

youtu.be/hpcN3qq_C4wHere, at 1:09:30. I understand that she has never been in a privileged situation and that Frida was the film of her career, difficult to produce. But it's bad taste to mimic and bring up another actress. You can explain your point without bringing up names and making them sound snobbish. It doesn't seem to me that when Nicole talks about bad times in her career, she brings up other actors by complaining that they had better offers. I don't hate Hayek. I think she is a good actress, I don't even think she hates Nicole, she just had a poisoned tooth because she is never considered for awards. But I found that interview in bad taste.

Oh holden, I saw the video and now remember why I felt so pissed about it. She was naming names. She made Kidman sound like a product of Weinstein's machinery. And her mocking tone was so dismissive. In so many years of acting and giving interviews, Our Lady has never thrown mud at anyone else. So classy and supportive.
