Zendaya, Carey and Angela looked stunning. Viola, Laura Dern, Regina, OMG, what was that??? Overall, it was a very disappointing night...but to be fair, Nicole's most recent Oscar looks have been quite disappointing too. they have been dissapointing but never boring, that is the difference bar a few most of the fashions this year was terribly dull.

Armani was it? She killed it for me.

Just saw The Mitchells vs. The Machines and it's fabulous. Coleman as an evil AI is a stroke of genius. It's not as good as Raya though - one of the best Disney movies in years that should only be seen in Imax.

I think so too, kaniska. The Undoing doesn't have much award momentum left anymore.

I think she can get the fifth spot. Anya Taylor-Joy and Kate Winslet are locks, Michaela Coel will get passion votes, and Cynthia Erivo is likely to get nominated for the bait alone.
For the fifth spot, I'm not so sure Television Academy will embrace WandaVision, and Kate Mara's performance is (while good) very subtle. Nicole can nab a nomination for the star power and popularity of the show.

There's no way they won't nominate her.

I think if Kidman participates in interviews, does podcasts and HBO sends out screeners with merch/swag bags and the whole unfortunate press junket, there is a chance. Having said that, it's been a few months and it's no longer part of the current conversation. HBO is probably going full steam with Kate Winslet. I'd be ecstatic of course, but realistically, to me, it seems like a thin chance.

I'd be ecstatic of course, but realistically, to me, it seems like a thin chance. Kidman doeant have to do anything - hbo will be doing it for her. It's a conglomerate that will want to rack up some awards for their biggest assets. Let's not forget Emmy's are an advertising scheme like most of these awards shows. So HBO will be throwing parties, sending out screeners, doing paid Google ads etc to capture the voters' attention - or maybe even pay for the nod (for all we know). The only time I know for sure Kidman had to fight to get nominated was with Rabbit Hole - poor girl was doing interviews with anyone who would have her, even in random hallways and via Skype. But most of the time it's the production houses and Pr teams that are doing the legwork and getting her on these shows and ceremonies. So, again, she's got that nod in the bag. Mark my words.
