Yes she might be awarded the prize as a career achievement like Moore or Binoche, but I'm not sure her role in "The Killing of a sacred deer" is substantial enough.
Maybe she could get it for both the Lanthimos and The Beguiled like Adjani got it for Quartet and Possession ?
But I don't think we should count on her winning the prize, all we can hope for is a good reception for her 3 films. I think critics will be divided on all three, but it's par for the course when you're a Kidmaniac right ?

She definetly has momentum this year for a Cannes win, all she needs is a film that is well received and that is in competition. Pedro Almodovar is the president of this year's jury I think, and he most likely will not stand in the way of Cannes wanting to honour her.

Cannes in competition slot, year end November release date. It seems like A24 are positioning for something. Thankfully we'll know soon if the film is worthy.

Apparently, Killing of a Sacred Deer is somehow based/inspired/influenced on/by Iphigenia in Aulis. I wonder if Nicole's character is at all Clytemnestra-adjacent because if she is, then it's got the potential to be a very compelling and challenging role!

I can't locate the interview, but hKidman on this film mentioned,
" I don't know what we did"
Basically it's going to be really out there.

And the only she posted about on Fb (like when she did Lion). She hasnt mentioned Girls at Parties in a while. I'd say she has more confidence in Deer herself.

If this is true, her role is gonna be incredibly juicy. Best Actress at Cannes won't be out of question.
