Correct me if I'm wrong. For Emmys 2024, the eligibility period is January 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023, correct? So for Expats, it'd be the 2025 Emmys, right? What I read: June 1, 2023 - May 31, 2024 Eligibility period for Emmy entries

Do you guys are optimistic about Nic chances in next award season? I think that at least some few nominations she will grab. Too soon to know?

Limited series categories are usually STACKED. And I don't know if this is the kind of show that'll penetrate the cultural conversations the way BLL did. It's hard to predict. Remember how EVERY SINGLE PERSON watched The Undoing and then they sorta shunned that show out at the Emmys? Who knows.

Winslet is coming as well, with a new limited series from HBO, it seems promising.

Yeah, the category is going to be stacked. There's also Feud (the Swans vs. Capote one) which would probably be hyped as well.
I'm hopeful that Nicole will get a nomination but I agree that Expats might be too "understated" to get noticed by the Emmys voters.

According to Wiki it's classed as a '2nd season'?

it's tricky, cuz it's a brand new story. American Horror Story did every season in limited right?

Yeah, it's tricky. I think the basic rule is if it's an anthology with no repeating characters, it goes against real limited series. Like with Fargo. So I think Feud is still going to be lumped in with the limited series.
But then, American Horror Story has multiple characters that appeared in different seasons but it still competes agains other limited series, I think, in the Emmys. So, yeah, it is tricky year to year to determine with these anthologies on what category they will compete.

I think Emma winning two Oscars at 35 is just too much but they've done it before? Although I didn't like lily's performance in KOTFM.
So hopefully the Oscars and SAG surprise.
